What is Medicare?

Medicare is a federal health insurance program designed to provide coverage as you age or if you qualify through certain health conditions.

Most people become eligible at 65, while others may qualify earlier due to disability or specific medical conditions.

You can receive coverage directly through the government (Original Medicare) or choose a plan offered by a private insurance provider (Medicare Advantage)

What’s included inMedicare Advantage plans?

Medicare Advantage plans (also known as MAPD plans) combine your hospital, medical, and often prescription drug coverage into one simple plan — with additional benefits like dental, vision, and hearing.

It’s a more complete way to manage your coverage, often with lower upfront costs and added benefits beyond Original Medicare.

We represent Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO, and PFFS plans, as well as stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plans. Each plan has a contract with Medicare, and enrollment depends on contract renewal.

We also represent multiple insurance carriers offering a variety of life insurance products, including term and permanent policies. Life insurance policies are subject to underwriting, approval, and eligibility requirements. Coverage, premiums, and benefits may vary based on age, health, and other factors. Not all applicants will qualify for all products.

We do not offer every plan or product available in your area. Currently, we represent multiple organizations offering a range of Medicare and life insurance options. To learn about all available Medicare options, please visit Medicare.gov, call 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY: 1-877-486-2048), or contact your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).

If you are turning 65, new to Medicare, losing employer coverage, or moving to a new area, you may be eligible to enroll. Other qualifying life events may also apply.

Costs, coverage, benefits, and availability vary by location. Not all plans offer the same benefits, and there may be no plan available in your area that includes all benefits described.
